As the rumors for the 2021 iPad Pro heats up one of the reliable sources when it comes to Apple products 9to5Mac has come with a newfound reference about the new A14X chip in the iOS 14.5 code and its association with the 2021 iPad pro.
According to the research made by 9to5mac iOS 14.5 has a reference to a GPU from a chip called "13G" and is not used by any iOS devices available currently. They also believe that 13G is the A14X SoC which is a variant of the A14 Bionic chip. The details were obtained by looking at the code name as all the Apple chips are referred to with a codename and a clever observation of the previous chip-naming style by Apple. As to the rumors, the only device by Apple to be launched in early 2021 is the iPad Pro 2021, and the hopes that the A14X being on the next-generation iPad Pro is high.
9to5Mac also connects its findings with the other reported rumors that the next-gen processor on the iPad will be as equal to the M1 chip and interestingly A14X is based on the T8103 which is the codename for the M1 chip of Apple.
If you talk about the rumors regarding the 2021 iPad Pro, It is rumored to come with a Mini-LED display which will be the first Apple product to come with mini-LED technology. Also, rumors suggest that the USB-C port will be dropped for a Thunderbolt port, and Smart HDR 3 with Dolby Vision will be added to improve the camera section of the iPad.
