2021 Yamaha XSR155 makes it to Indonesia, gets new color scheme

• The 2021 Yamaha XSR 155 is only launched in Indonesia for now 

• The bike gets a new matte green paint scheme 

• It adopts the same 155cc engine used in its predecessor 

 

The Japanese automaker, Yamaha has further expanded its 150cc range, with the introduction of the new-gen XSR 155 in the Indonesian market. The firm has upgraded the machine for the Indonesian market only for now. However, the chance of the Japanese automaker to release it for the South Asian market is high.  

New 2021 Yamaha XSR155 

The 2021 Yamaha XSR155 gets a new Matte Green Color scheme option.  The new one adopts a matte green finish tank with silver decals and a brown patterned seat. Besides this color, Yamaha offers two existing color options—Matte Black Elegance and Premium Matte Silver.

Under the hood, the 2021 XSR155 is powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder SOHC engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) which we can also discern in the Yamaha YZF R15 and the MT-15. This engine is capable of churning a power output of 19.3bhp at 10,000rpm alongside a peak torque of 14.7Nm at 8500rpm. This one is mated with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch as standard.  

The chassis. inverted telescopic fork, rear mono-shock, engine, and some components on the bike have been taken from the M-15 model. Speaking of the design, XSR 155 adopts a round LED headlamp and a dual-tone fuel tank emitting out a look of a perfect entry-level retro roadster.

The new 2021 Yamaha XSR155 is priced at Rp 36,580,000 in Indonesia which is equivalent to 3,02,400/- here in Nepal.  

If things turn as planned, the motorcycle has high chances of release in the Indian market too.
