Introduction

Ford Nepal (GO Automobiles Pvt. Ltd.), an authorized distributor of Ford motors in Nepal, has recently launched 2022 next-generation Ford Ranger in the Nepal market. They are offering three variants of rangers with either single turbo or bi-turbo diesel engine configuration. The newly released Ford ranger is claimed to be the most versatile, tough, and smartest mid-size pickup truck.

This article will focus on the XL, XLT, and Wildtrak variants of Ford Ranger’s features, specifications, and prices in Nepal.

Exterior and Interior

The 2022 next-generation Ford Ranger boasts a muscular and athletic design. C-Clamp-shaped LED headlamp gives a ‘Build Ford Tough’ look to the Ranger. Wildtrak model comes with a tough integrated box step at the rear side making the access to cargo area easier and safer.

In the interior, the Ranger features an 8-inch digital instrument cluster along with a 10-inch LCD touchscreen in XL and XLT trim and a large 12-inch display in Wildtrak. In addition, you will get a screen displaying a 360-degree camera view, which eases to tackle tight urban spaces, parking, or navigate tricky terrains. Other interior features include six airbags, an electric handbrake, premium cabin settings, foldable rear seats, and fully reclining front seats.

Engine and Performance

The XL model is powered by the 1966cc single turbo engine, producing the maximum power of 125KW and 405Nm of peak torque. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options are available for this variant.

On the other hand, XL and Wildtrak variants come with a 2.0L bi-turbo engine capable of generating 125KW maximum power and 500Nm of maximum torque. Similarly, they are equipped with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The 2022 next-gen Ford Ranger dimensions are 5389mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1848mm in height. The ranger has a 3220mm wheelbase and ground clearance of 232mm. Moreover, they offer four on-road and two off-road drive modes and a towing capacity of up to 3500Kg.
