The Aion LX is a mid-size electric crossover coming from the Aion company, a Guangzhou-based Chinese automobile firm.

The electric car was first showcased back in April 2019 at Auto Shanghai 2019 while it remained a hot topic for EV lovers back then. Again last month, GAC showcased a new version of this crossover- Aion LX Plus at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2021.

Adopting over 1000km+ claimed range, the GAC Aion LX Plus has become the highest range EV currently. Well, what are the other alluring features of this new electric crossover, let's find out.

GAC Aion LX Plus Overview

Based on the latest reports, the new Aion LX Plus is an upgraded version of the first Aion LX electric crossover. As per reports, the Aion LX Plus will make its official debut on January 6, 2022.

First, the new LX Plus is claimed to provide a range of more than 1000km on a single charge. This whopping range of the EV will be supplied by a large-sized 144.4 kWh battery pack integrated into the car. This range is provided by the top variant of Aion LX Plus.

Moreover, as per GAC, the batteries used in the Aion LX are made up of elastic sheets, i.e. 20% smaller and 14% lighter than the conventional EV batteries. These units possess an energy density of 205 Wh per kg. The battery units provide electric power to the two motors of the EV creating a combined power of 225 bhp. Well, that’s very powerful.

Additionally, the Aion LX Plus can attain a speed of 0-100km/h within just 2.9 seconds. The battery units used on the EV is infused with the latest modern technology making it more enhanced in energy density, power, and overall performance even at cold temperature.

GAC had been working on this concept for more than 15 years while AIon LX Plus is the brand’s first EV project under this concept. In the same way, the car can also be charged from 0-80 within just 8 minutes and 30-80 percent within just 5 minutes using a 480kW Fast Charger.
