Well, let’s explore more details of the new SR Max 250.
Aprilia SR Max250 HPE Overview
Design
Although the silhouette of the scooter remains the same as the standard model, the new Max250 HPE gets updated visual elements.
The new Max250 HPE adopts a matte glossier finish and new visual texture. Moreover, the rider also gets an opportunity to choose from a grey-red color option.
Moreover, the overall graphics of the scooter is also updated making it look more premium and sportier. However, some features and elements in the maxi-scooter remain sane as the standard model. This list includes dual-LED headlamps, front fascia, a larger windscreen upfront (adjustable), upswept exhaust, rear view mirrors, and so on.
Engine and Performance
This is the facet where we can pick point the key differences between the standard Max250 model with the Max250 HPE.
The new HPE model is now powered by a 244cc motor that churns out a peak power of 25.6bhp at 8200 rpm and a peak torque of 22.5Nm at 7250 rpm. This is 4.6bhp more power output compared to the standard model that boasts 21bhp power. This is certainly a tangible upgrade in the scooter’s performance.
The scooter offers two riding modes- Eco and Sport that are controlled with dedicated buttons provided on the handlebar. Excitingly, the scooter also features a traction control system as standard.
Features?
The suspension duties in the Aprilia SR Max250 HPE are handled by a telescopic suspension upfront alongside gas-charged shocks at the rear.
For optimum braking, the Max250 HPE is provided with dual-channel ABS accompanied by 260mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes.
Other key features in the maxi-scooter include dual-channel ABS as standard, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, dual-disc brakes, and large under-seat storage space.
Will the Aprilia SR Max250 HPE make it to the Indian or Nepali market? This might be the burning question for the Aprilia fans in both countries.
Currently, the Aprilia SR SXR range is already being sold in the Indian market. While under this segment, other maxi-scooters like the Vieste 300i, and BMW C 400 GT are already available in the market.
Also, the Indian market seems to be a newer face for maxi-scooters and these scooters also arrive with a lofty price tag. Therefore, the introduction of again a new maxi-scooter in the market doesn’t seem to fit the gap. Thus, the new Aprilia SR Max250 or the SR Max250 HPE holds a very light chance to enter the Indian market.
If not launched in the Indian market, the scooter holds low chance to make debut in Nepal as well.
