Electrification has now become one of the most crucial facets of the automotive industry. And with the sudden hype of EVs in the automotive industry, the Nepali automobile industry is also recently seen to push out EVs in the market making it a peak priority.
And with the start of electric cars, the firm has now been working on releasing new electric buses too in the nation.

Himalayan Motors, a subsidiary of the Himalayan Organization is soon launching the popular electric bus Brighsun in Nepal. Brighsun E-Bus is manufactured by an Australian brand called Brighsun Technology while this bus is popular for setting out the world record for the longest distance traveled by an electric bus on a single charge. The Brighsun bus has set a record for providing a range of 1018km on a single charge.
Himalayan Motors, the authorized dealer who will be bringing this bus in Nepal has informed that the bus would enter the Nepali trails within the next two months. Along the Nepali trails, the bus is expected to provide a range of 800km. It takes around 4-8 hours for the bus to fully charge.

Moreover, the Brighton Electric Bus is powered by a lithium-ion battery while has a lifespan of 40 years alongside 20 years of the company’s guarantee.
Currently, the Brighsun electric buses are manufactured in Cyprus, China, and Korea while the company is soon planning on opening a manufacturing plant for the bus in India too within the next two months. Similarly, the bus is planned to be assembled in Nepal by 2025.
