<p>Nepal may not have huge electronics show such as CES or MWC but we definitely have got our very own CAN Info-Tech. This year too, CAN Federation has organized the CAN Info-Tech which is the biggest Technology and Information Show in Nepal. The CAN Info-Tech is happening in Nepal for the 24th year and begs the question, "Is it worth a visit at the show"? Let's find out!</p>

<p>The Title Sponsor for the CAN Info-Tech 2018 is Subisu with Motorola as its associate Sponsor. WorldLink is the Platinum Sponsor for the event while Nepal Telecom and Tp-Link are the diamond sponsors for the event. </p>

<p>Just like every year, the CAN Info-Tech is happening in Bhrikuti Mandav, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu. And as you'd expect, the flow of audience is huge with barely any parking space available for bikes and cars. So, that makes the event very successful, right? Umm… not exactly.</p>


<p>Look, it depends on you and only you on whether you like the show or not. If you are keeping high expectation from the event, I am sorry to report that, there are not many 'wow' things happening at the event. Seriously! It just looks like the CAN a year before and the year before that.</p>

<p>However, if this is your first time visiting CAN, you will definitely love it. And if you are a geek at heart, no doubt you will spend hours in there and not be bored. </p>

<p>While there's not much that's new, there are a few brands (and their products) that will definitely excite you. For instance, Allocacoc has got some cool LED lights which operate when two magnets touch each other. They also have got cool car chargers with USB-C Port on the other end with Power Delivery feature which can power the MacBook Pros! </p>

<p>Xiaomi also has a lot of accessories at their disposal. Throughout the event, you will see that it is them who have attracted the largest crowd. They too have some cool Wi-Fi enabled LED lights, accessories for the phones like the Mi Band 2 and much more. </p>

<p>There is one show-stopper at the event which is definitely worth a mention. There's this cool project conducted by Nepalese students where they took in a bike engine and put it in a tricycle that they built. And no, it's not some slow boring three-wheeler like an auto-rickshaw. In fact, it's just the opposite. One rev of the motor means there will be 100s of people gathering around the vehicle. <p> If you plan to go to the event to get gadgets for cheap, go ahead! There are a lot of brands which are selling their products at a discounted price. Xiaomi, Huawei, Motorola and others are selling phones for a lot less than their MSRP. And Chinese gadgets like power bank, selfie sticks, tripods, memory card, keyboard and mice can also be found for a cheaper price. </p>

<p>eSewa is also having an offer where you can get Rs.120 eSewa balance for just Rs.100. Small Cell is also selling their SIM cards wherein new users will get Rs.20 recharge card for free.</p>

<p>All-in-all, CAN Infotech 2018 is a nicely organized event which is definitely worth a visit. Also, if you are a student, you can get your entry into the event for just Rs.50. At that price, it's a no-brainer. </p>
