Go Automobiles Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Ford cars in Nepal has launched the Ford Mustang GT Fastback in Nepal. The car internationally comes with two engine options- the 2.3L eco-boost 4-cylinder engine and the 5L 8-Cylinder engine. And thank god, in Nepal, we are getting the V8 variant of the car which churns out a massive 396 BHP.
For comparison, the VW Tiguan with a 2L engine produces a mere 141HP. However, that's not the best thing about the car. The title has to go to the pricing of the car. While we earlier estimated the price of the Ford Mustang FT to be around 3 crores, the company surprised us with the car launch price of just Rs. 1.69 crores.
The thing that stands out the most in the Mustang has to be its design. It looks nothing like the cars that are available on the market right now. The car has got some serious road presence. The Mustang GT looks good from all dimensions. Mustang measures 4,784 mm in length, 1,916 mm in width, and 1,391 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.
And in case you are wondering, the Mustang GT that comes to Nepal has a ground clearance of 137mm, which is significantly lower than that of most of the cars we see on our roads. While customers look for cars and compact SUVs will higher ground clearance, here we are, with the Mustang GT which has the lowest ground clearance in any car that is currently available in Nepal.

Do note that this muscle car isn't for everyone and in fact, it's not going to be able to tackle all the Nepalese roads. The car is best suited to places where there is proper tarmac. Also, the 60L of a fuel tank, which may sound much, just isn't enough. You will barely be able to make it to Pokhara with a tank full of fuel. Don't expect to get more than 4 kilometers to the liter with the engine and traffic-packed roads of Nepal, especially Kathmandu.
But here's the thing. This car isn't for everyone and the company doesn't say it is either. It's only for those who have pockets full of money and have a heart for high-performance machines. We don't expect the Mustang GT to sell in numbers.
The Ford Mustang GT is available for purchase in Nepal but will be imported when an order comes through. You can treat yourself to the most powerful car in the country by cashing out Rs.1.69 crores. Follow Ford Nepal on their Facebook page and also make sure to like Autoncell Facebook page.
