Foton Motors Nepal is all set to launch a new variant of its popular pick-up Tunland E in the Nepali market. MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicle Pvt. Ltd, the sole distributor of Foton vehicles in Nepal has confirmed the launch of the new E+ variant of Tunland E pickup in Nepal. 

Launched first back in 2020 in Nepal, the firm has sold over 200 units of the Pick up so far. 

Well, let’s explore the features and features of the new Foton Tunland E+ pick-up. 

Foton Tunland E+ Overview

The new E+ variant of the pick-up also retains a similar design as to the other models. 

Engine and Performance?

Powering the Tunland E+ is the same 2.0L, in-line, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that delivers a peak power of 149.55 PS at 3600 and a peak torque of 320 Nm at 300rpm. The engine unit is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission unit. 

However, the engine here is super refined compared to its predecessor. 

It has a cargo box size of 1.52 m x 1.58 m x 0.44 m which is claimed to be the largest in the class. It also has a payload capacity of 1 ton and a fuel tank capacity of 76 liters.

Suspension and other features?

The suspension duties of the pick-up are handled by an Upper and Lower A-arm (Double wishbone, Coil Spring) upfront and Dependent suspensions (Leaf springs) with a shock absorber at the rear. 

Safety features such as dual airbags, front ventilated discs, ABS with EBD, central locking, and seat belt warning are provided. Also, it has tilt and telescopic power steering, air conditioner, heater, electrically adjustable rearview mirror, etc.

Foton Tunland E+ Price and Availablity

Speaking of the official launch, the new Foton Tunland E+ is likely to launch within the first week of August 2022 in Nepal. 

Coming on to the pricing, as it's a successor to the Tunland E, the price tag is likely to stay a bit high. Currently, the base model of the Tunland E holds a price of Rs. 54.90 lakhs in Nepal. Glancing this, we expect the new Tunland E+ to arrive within the price bracket of 60 lakhs.
