Publicity Stunt but with the help of technology

Genesis Motor, LLC, a Korean luxury vehicle division of South Korean vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Motor marked its entrance into China and they did it with some tech fashion. Genesis used 3,281 drones to make its logo over Shanghai’s sky to announce its arrival in the Chinese market. While doing so, Genesis broke the Guinness World Record for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) flying at the same time. The publicity stunt by Genesis was done over Shanghai, China on March 29th.

To perform such shows a choreography software is required which will guide drones to form certain shapes without colliding with each other.

As technology is advancing drones have become the major choice for companies to perform publicity stunts for grabbing the consumer's attention. Genesis broke the record which was previously held by Shenzhen Damoda Intelligent Control Technology who flew 3,501 drones in September of 2020. Tech giant Intel also once used to hold the record for flying 1,218 drones for the 2018 Winter Olympics

Stunts like this show how much the technologies around us have changed and the advancement of drone technologies in just a few years. Also, the growing technology has changed the way companies advertise themselves. With all the insane drone technology coming out and rapidly advancing it's only about time till another company breaks the record of Genesis.
