Recently, a 135-year-old motorcycle was sold for 125 million Nepalese rupees. A 135-year-old Harley motorcycle was sold at a record price through auction.
The American brand Harley Davidson motorcycle, built in 1908, has become the most expensive motorcycle auction ever sold.
Vintage motorcycle selling website Vintage announced this auction on January 28 in Las Vegas, USA through Facebook.
According to a Fox Business report, this motorcycle was named Strap Tank. Its tail and fuel tank were attached to the frame with nickel-plated steel straps.
Greg Arnold, motorcycle division manager at the auction, says we did a good job marketing the bike. He said that because Harley is the most famous American motorcycle brand so far, it performed well at the auction and was sold at a much higher price than expected.
According to Arnold, this Harley motorcycle was in a barn in Wisconsin with a man named David Uhlin. He would write in the Fox Business report that he kept the bike with him from 1941 for 66 years.
Similarly, according to Morning Express, Harley produced 450 units of these motorcycles in 1908. It is estimated that out of 450 motorcycles produced in 1908, only 10 to 12 units are left. Earlier, the most expensive motorcycle auctioned was the Strap Tank, which was auctioned for 715,000 US dollars.
