NGM Hero, the sole distributor for Hero Motorcycles in Nepal has finally launched its much-awaited two-wheeler, the Hero Xtreme 160R. Although the talking of the bike launching soon in the Nepali market was heard months ago, it took some good time to land in Nepal.

Hero Xtreme 160R Overview
Design
The new Hero Xtreme 160R gets more of an aggressive stance with a muscular tank on the front. Compared to the 200 version, this one adopts an edgier bodywork. Unlike the typical halogen bulb lighting used in the past, the Hero Xtreme 160R now gets full LED lighting—the head and tail lamps and indicators as well.

Overall, Hero seems to add a beefier feel to the Xtreme 160R, which, in fact, suits the machine.
Engine Performance
Hero Xtreme 160R is powered by a 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, FI engine that delivers a power of 15.3bhp at 8000rpm alongside a peak torque of 14Nm at 6500rpm. The bike’s engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox transmission. Not to forget, this one has a BS6-compliant engine!

Suspension and Brakes
Built under the classic Tubular Diamond Frame chassis, Hero claims Xtreme 160R to be a perfect two-wheeler when it comes to handling.
The suspension is handled by a Telescopic fork upfront accompanied by a 7 step Rider-adjustable mono-shock unit at the rear. It gets disc brakes on both the front while a single-channel ABS feature is also provided for optimum braking performance.

Highlighting its safety aspects, Hero has injected alluring safety features in the machine which include Single-Channel ABS, Fully-Digital Instrument Cluster, Side-Stand Engine cut-off, Engine-Kill Switch, and more.
