Honda announces no more production of petrol-diesel vehicles post 2040

Japanese auto giant Honda officially declares that the firm will stop the production of petrol and diesel engine by 2040. This implies that the world’s largest engine and motorcycle manufacturer will now pave its way towards hydrogen-powered and electric vehicles.
More on, the tech giant added that by 2030 40% of Honda cars will either be fully hydrogen-powered or electric. Likewise, in the European market, all Honda cars will either be hybrid or fully electric by 2022.

With this, Honda has turned its way towards mass production of electric cars in the future. Similarly, in the case of motorcycles too, the firm has been planning on electrifying its two-wheelers mobility.
In 2021, Honda appointed Toshihiro Mibe as its new global CEO.
