Two New Variants of Honda Dio BS6 Launched in Nepal.

Honda's popular scooter, the Dio, has received a significant update in Nepal, thanks to the efforts of Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda scooters in the country. The revamped Honda Dio 110 BS6 has arrived in the Nepali market, and it promises to set a new standard for practical scooters in the region. The updated Honda Dio BS6 boasts a refined style, a fuel-injected engine (FI), and a range of updated features, making it a compelling choice for scooter enthusiasts. Notably, it continues to offer the most fuel-efficient engine in its segment.

Design

The Honda Dio retains its familiar design but gets a sportier update with refreshed graphics while maintaining its overall style. The front section showcases a sculpted apron with more prominent cuts and creases. LED headlights and halogen side indicators are integrated into the apron, and the handlebar-mounted LED DRL has been slightly redesigned. The side profile features angular crease lines and introduces new additions like a Front Storage Box and an External Fuel Lid. It combines sporty and commuter-friendly elements such as a Two-Level Seat, Split-Type Handlebar, and Dual Tone Colors. The rear profile also embraces a more aggressive look compared to its predecessor. The Dio BS6 is available in a range of vibrant colours, including Blue, Yellow, Orange, Grey, Black, and Red.

Performance

The Honda Dio is powered by a 109.51cc, Single-cylinder, Air-cooled, SI, PGM-FI engine, delivering 8.00 PS at 7000 rpm and 9.03 Nm of torque at 5250 rpm. It features a V-Matic transmission and a 5.3-litre fuel tank capacity, making it a BS6-compliant Fuel Injection engine. While the BS4 Dio generates slightly less torque, the BS6 variant offers improved performance, including features like Silent Start with ACG and an updated Informative Digital Meter.

Features

The Dio BS6 retains its practical and safety-oriented features, including the 4-in-1 Lock with an Integrated Seat Opening switch and Combined Braking System (CBS). It doesn't offer disc brakes, but it impresses with features like Sporty Graphics with Dual dual-tone colours, an LED Headlamp with LED DRL, a Front Hook with Retractable Rear Hook, a Metal Muffler Protector, an Engine Start/Stop Switch, and more. The Dio BS6 comes with a Telescopic Fork and a 3-step Adjustable Spring-Loaded Hydraulic handle suspension, a departure from the previous Spring Loaded Hydraulic configuration. Its dimensions have also grown, with increased length, width, height, and wheelbase, offering a more spacious and stable ride. The scooter provides ample ground clearance at 160mm and weighs 105kg, making it easy to handle. Additionally, it boasts an 18-litre under-seat storage capacity.
