In an official statement released on Wednesday, Honda outlined their ambitious strategy, earmarking ¥100 billion (USD 880 million) from 2021 to 2025 solely for the electrification of their existing motorcycle lineup. This aggressive investment plan is projected to scale up significantly from 2026 to 2030, where an additional ¥400 billion (USD 3.52 billion) will be channelled towards further advancements in electric vehicle technology.
While Honda initially plans to leverage its current infrastructure for the development of internal combustion engine models, the company is committed to establishing dedicated facilities for the production of electric motorcycles starting in 2027.
