Among all the series by Honor, the Honor 20 series was quite able to gain a good popularity in the smartphone market. Honor had been able to sell around 1 million units of Honor 20 just within a matter of two weeks, well that’s mesmerizing.
Well, after quite a successful rendition of Honor 20 series, the firm has recently again added a new model on the line-up. The firm has recently launched the new Honor 20s which is, in fact, a toned-down version of its predecessor, the Honor 20. But apart from this keeping an eye on the budget-oriented market, the firm has also launched the next model, i.e. the Honor Play 3.
Let’s have a quick overview of both of these devices.
Honor 20s Overview
The new Honor 20s flaunts a big 6.26-inch IPS display which fully supports Full HD+ resolution. The screen comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
After that let’s come on to the camera features of the device. Well, as smartphone cameras have innovated and upgraded to a whole new level today, seems like Honor has tried to be the participant of the race. The phone boasts a triple camera setup which comprises of a 48MP primary shooter along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Coming to the front, the device gets a 32MP selfie camera.
Additionally, highlighting on the internals, the Honor 20s is powered by Kirin 810 chipset. On the RAM and ROM part, there are two different variants available—6/128GB and 8/128GB. However, you won’t get an option for expandable storage via MicroSD.
On the security part, unlike most of the smartphones these days which have an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Honor 20s has a side-mounted one. And, obviously, the phone also lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack which you might notice in most of the devices these days.
Finally, coming to the battery, the device is packed with a 3750 mAh battery which supports 20-watt Fast Charging.
Honor Play 3
Unlike the Honor 20s, the new Honor Play 3 is more of a budget-oriented device. The phone gets a 6.39 inch IPS display with a punch-hole cutout at the top. And the display only supports HD+ resolution while we shouldn’t expect more on budget phones too.
Honor Play 3 is powered by a Kirin 710F chipset while the RAM is available in two variants: 4GB or 6GB. Coming to the storage space too, there are two options available: 64Gb and 128GB. But in case of Honor Play 3, you’ll definitely get an option for expandable storage via microSD. And under the hood rests a 4000mAh battery which supports 10-watt charging.
