Hyundai may not be a German auto manufacturer but it definitely has got attention from the crowd. In just a decade or so, the brand image has turned upside down. Earlier known as a brand which made budget cars, the company now makes cars that compete in the premium automotive market.

The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with 3 engine options internationally, a 2.4L petrol engine developing 185PS, a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine churning out 232PS and also a 2.2L turbo-diesel engine churning out 200PS of power. We can expect the 2.2L turbo-diesel to make its way into Nepal like its predecessor. All the variant of the car will come with an eight-speed gearbox and 4WD as standard.

The interior of the Santa Fe is where you will find the most changes. Inside the car, you will find all creature comforts like wireless charging, multi-zone climate control and an 8-inch infotainment display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 


Hyundai has been doing really well in the Nepalese market. Hatchbacks from Nepal like the Hyundai Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active, Creta and the Hyundai Tucson sell really well. However, its flagship SUV, the Hyundai Santa Fe doesn't sell as much. With the 2018 Santa Fe, the company is looking to change all that. We can expect the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe to be priced in line with the current generation Santa Fe.
