After all the leaks and rumors, Infinix has finally unveiled its first 5G smartphone called the Infinix Zero 5G. This 5G device brings a 120Hz display, a Dimensity 900 processor, and a large 5000mAh battery. Here, we’ll simply go through the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Infinix Zero 5G in Nepal.

Infinix Zero 5G Overview

Design and Display

Infinix Zero 5G features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has a peak brightness of 500 nits.

In terms of design, the smartphone has a Uni-Curve design where instead of a typical camera bump, you’ll see a smooth ramp. The device comes in three different color options - Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange. It measures 8.77mm thick and weighs 199 grams.

Performance

Running on Android 11 based XOS 10, the Infinix Zero 5G comes equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 900 processor. It is offered with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM + 128GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. Infinix has als0 added the RAM expansion feature, which adds 3GB of Virtual RAM for smooth performance. Further, the storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.

Camera

For optics, the smartphone features a triple camera setup at the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. The main sensor here is capable of 30X zoom, and there’s a quad-LED flash on the rear. Upfront is a 16MP camera with a dual front flash for selfies and video calls.

Infinix Zero 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with support for a 33-watt TÜV Rheinland safe fast charge. Infinix claims that the smartphone is capable of providing up to 27 days of standby time.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics.

Infinix Zero 5G is currently available in Nigeria at NGN 169,500 for the sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. If the smartphone launches here in Nepal, we expect the price to be around Rs.55,000.
