After the recent opening of pre-booking in the Indian market, Kia’s much anticipated SUV-Carens is officially launched in India.
Within the booking period, the new Carens has received more than 20,000 bookings in India.
The new Kia Carens is launched in 5 different variants while the base starts at INR 8.99 lakhs while goes up to INR 16.99 lakhs for the top variant.

This is the company's fourth product and is launched in the MPV segment. Kia Carens are available in 5 variants- Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. The car will be available in 6 and 7 seater options.
It will be based on the company's global language.
Engine Options?
The Kia Carens offer two petrol engine options- a 1.5L petrol unit churning out 115bhp power and 114 Nm of peak torque and a 1.4L turbo petrol engine delivering 140bhp power and 242 Nm peak torque. The 1.5L petrol unit only gets a 6-speed manual while the latter benefits from a 7-speed DCT option as well.
Additionally, a 1.4L diesel unit is also on the option. This one is offered with both manual and automatic gear transmission.
The car adopts a length of 4540 mm, a width of 1800 mm, a height of 1708 mm, and a wheelbase of 2780 mm. Also available in 8 color options are Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Gravity Gray, and Aurora Black Pearl.
The car has a large touchscreen infotainment system, while its lower variant includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Its instrument cluster will be fully digital and its steering wheel is inherited from younger brother-Seltos. It includes the new generation Kia Connect with 66 connected car features, Bose sound system, 8 speakers, and 64 colors of ambient lighting.
Other key features in the MPV include Car Smart Air Purifier, Ventilated Front Seat, Multi Drive Mode, Sunroof, Pedal Sifter, Wireless Charger, Cooling Cup Holder, 6 Airbags, ESC, VSM, HAC, DBC, BAS, All-Wheel Disc Brake, Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System, rear parking sensors and more.
