KIA Seltos Price in Nepal | Full Specs and Variants

After quite an anticipation from Nepali SUV fans, KIA has finally launched their new compact SUV, the KIA Seltos in the Nepali market. The booking for the car had already been started few months while now the new SUV has finally hit the Nepali trails.

Continental Trading Enterprises, the sole distributor for KIA automobiles in Nepal has introduced this car in the Nepali market. According to the firm, the new KIA Seltos has already received bookings for more than 200 units.

Well, let’s have a quick overview of the new KIA Seltos.

 

Exterior

The new Seltos adopts more of a sophisticated and sporty design which we can see on most of the SUVs.

Coming to the externals, the four-wheeler boasts a long hood and a strong classy bumper. And as with most KIA SUVs, it also sports the wide ‘tiger-nose grille’ on the front. More on, the new Seltos is equipped with intricate and sharply designed full LED headlights and taillights, providing the car with a commanding and confident presence on the road. For daytime driving, the car also has LED daytime running lights and rear lamps, and 3D multi-layer indicators to make it clear exactly where the Seltos is heading. For driving in foggy conditions, the car is also equipped with LED fog lights.

Additionally, the car fits a choice of 16,17 or 180- inch alloy wheelers on the customer’s preference.

Interior

Inside the Seltos SUV, you will get a broad cabin integrated with highly technical details. The SUV is designed with high-quality materials and maximum convenience.

Coming to the technology, the SUV features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Sound Mood Lighting. The ergonomics of the inside cabin provide full convenience to driving while the spacious interior adds more comfort to the passengers too.

Technology and Quirky Features

The new KIA Seltos compact SUV is fully equipped with top-notch technical features. The advanced infotainment system equipped on the vehicle allows the user to control a variety of features in the car. The display can also be used for navigation.

More on, the quirky feature on the vehicle is its Bose 8-speaker premium sound system, which fills the car with a rich and immersive sound, taking in-car entertainment to a new level. Along with that, the cabin is also fitted with an optional Sound Mood Lighting system, emitting soft light from panels in the doors. This includes a unique 3D-patterned surface on the door panels. The Sound Mood Lighting system pulses in time to the beat of the music playing through the audio system, with eight customizable colors and six themes illuminating the cabin.

Safety Features

The new KIA Seltos is fully equipped with a wide range of advanced safety features. The SUV is provided with 6 airbags along with other Vehicle Stability Management systems such as traction control and electronic stability control.

Likewise, other features such as Anti-Lock Braking System, Brake-Force Assist System, and Hill-start Assist Control are also available in the SUV. Similarly, for assistance when parking, it is also equipped with front and rear parking sensors.

Power and Performance

 

Highlighting on its engine, the all-new Kia Seltos is powered by a 1.5L Turbo Petrol Engine and a 1.5L Turbo Diesel Engine. Coming on to the power performance, the base variant of the SUV delivers a power of 115bhp along with a max torque of 144Nm. Similarly, the top variant generates a max power of 140PS along with a peak torque of 242Nm.

Depending on the market, the Seltos is offered with up to three automatic transmission options to suit consumers’ needs and driving style - a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT), a six-speed automatic transmission (6AT), and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While in the case of Nepal, we will be getting the one with the CVT transmission system.

 

Price and Variants

The new KIA Seltos holds a starting price of NRs. 49.9 lakhs in Nepal while the top variant comes with a price tag of NRs. 66.9 lakhs.

In the Nepali market, the SUV is available in 5HT trims, namely- HTK, HTK+, HTK+ AT, HTX, and HTX+. The SUV is available in 8 different color options-- Intense Red, Clear White, Glacier White, Punchy Orange, Steel Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, and Blue.
