KTM has finally launched its most awaited bike, the KTM Duke 790 in the Indian market. The new Duke 790 looks quite similar to the 390 Duke but the new one has a different frame, wheels, larger dimension, and newly designed tail section and exhaust.

The new KTM 790 Duke is powered by a newly designed powerful 799cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which churns out 105HP power at 9500rpm while peak torque of 86Nm at 8000rpm. The DOHC motor integrated into the two-wheeler is mated with a six-speed gearbox along with the slipper clutch.

Braking is handled via twin 300mm front discs along with a 240mm rear disc on the back. The bike boasts impressive features such as lean-sensitive traction control, ABS, launch control and multiple-power modes. Similarly, the 790 Duke gets 43mm open cartridge WP front fork and a 12-stage preload-adjustable WP rear mono-shock which makes it perfect for firm suspension. The motorcycle has been provided with four driving modes: Rain, Sport, Street, and Track while each of these modes differs with the amount of power delivery, traction control, throttle input and more. Also, the track mode on the bike can be fully customized.
The KTM 790 Duke might rival against the other beasts such as the Suzuki GSX-S750, Yamaha MT-09, Ducati Monster, and the Triumph Street Triple.

The new KTM 790 Duke has been launched in the Indian market only while the two-wheeler comes with a price tag of INR 8.64 lakhs. However, if the bike gets launched in the Nepali market, it might cost around NRs 33-38 Lakhs.
