Since the end of 2021, many manufacturers in India have not been able to produce vehicles according to their capacity due to the problem of semiconductors worldwide.
This is the crucial reason why many customers have to wait for the vehicle when there is a problem in the supply chain.
Semi-Conductors Production Increment...
Now, with the increase in the supply of chips, even though the car manufacturers have increased the supply, there is a situation where some special models have to wait two more years. Recently launched SUVs have the highest demand in the Indian market.
Most customers are waiting for Mahindra cars for a long time. Customers who booked the recently launched Mahindra Scorpio N have had to wait for 24 months.
The second vehicle with the longest waiting period is Mahindra's premium SUV XUV 700. It is said that customers who buy it will have to wait for 15 months at least. Despite the high demand in India, these two models also have high expectations to arrive in Nepal as soon as the Government lifts the ban.
After Mahindra, there is a long waiting period for the purchase of mid-size SUVs from Korean brands Kia and Hyundai. Customers will get Kia's Sonet after 10 months and Hyundai's Creta after 8 months. It is said that there is a waiting period of 6 months to purchase a Hyundai Venue as well.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
Called ‘The Big Daddy of SUVs’, the Mahindra Scorpio-N also arrives with bigger dimensions. The new Scorpio N also receives a redesigned front fascia. The updated highlights include a new set of dual LED projector headlamps, a new front frill, and C-shaped fog lamps.
In addition, this is also the second SUV from the Mahindra range to boast s brand new Mahindra logo. The first SUV to hold it was the flagship- XUV700.
Coming on to the engine specifications, the new Scorpio comes with two engine options. The first one is a 2.0L turbo-charged petrol unit that delivers a peak power of 200PS and 380 Nm of torque while the latter is a 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine churning out a horsepower of 175PS alongside 400Nm of peak torque.
Moreover, for gearing options, the SUV is offered with 6-speed Manual and Automatic transmissions. Like the previous models, this one is also offered with All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) options.
In India, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is launched in five different variants- Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. The SUV is launched at a starting price of INR 11.99 lakhs in the Indian market.
Mahindra XUV700
Interestingly, the new Mahindra flagship SUV also sticks to its brand-new logo becoming the first in the family to boast it. In fact, it was the first Mahindra SUV to emboss this new logo.
The XUV700 gets two different engine options: 2.0L petrol and 2.2-L petrol and diesel engines churning out a horsepower of 200bhp and 185bhp respectively. As for the transmission, the SUV gets both, six-speed manual and automatic gear options.
The flagship SUV has arrived in optional All-Wheel Drive (AWD) specs as well. As for seating capacity too, there are two options available: 5 and 7.
Coming on to the features, the MX series gets an 8-inch Infotainment system with Android Auto, a 7-inch instrument cluster, Smart Door handles, steering mounted switches, Power Adjustable ORVMs with turn indicator, and R17 steel wheels.
Safety features in the SUV include up to 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) with radar, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, drowsiness detection system, and so on.

MX Diesel 5-seater: INR 12.49 lakh
AdrenoX AX3 petrol 5-seater: INR 13.99 lakh
