After 35 years of long-standing production in India, Maruti Suzuki’s popular model, Omni van’s production has stopped in India. Although the workhorse has been serving for 35 years now, we couldn’t see any major updates on the van all these years. It’s somewhat similar now compared to the model which was first produced in the year 2021.
Although India has come up with new safety standards for vehicles, Suzuki has planned not to update the Omni van to the new safety standard. Instead, the company has chosen to stop its production.
The mandatory safety standards include passenger vehicle must have driver airbag, ABS, rear parking sensor, seatbelt reminder, and high-speed alert.
