Sales of Suzuki Swift in India have exceeded 2.5 million units. Swift, which went public 16 years ago, has been leading the market in the hatchback segment ever since. The company has upgraded the hatchback several times since it first went public in 2005.
Meanwhile, the latest version (3rd) generation of the Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in 2018.
The third generation of Maruti Suzuki Swift had set a record of more than 1 lakh units booking within a very short period. Currently, the 2021 version of Swift is being sold which is available in dual-tone color.
According to the company, more than 52% of the current Swift owners are below the age bracket of 35 years.
Equipped with a 1200cc dual jet 4-cylinder inline DOHC petrol engine, the latest Suzuki Swift delivers a peak power of 89bhp alongside a peak torque of 113Nm. The hatchback is also claimed to provide the best mileage in its segment.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a very popular hatchback in the Nepali market. Currently, its latest 2021 model is being sold in the Nepali market while its value ranges from Rs. 31.49-34.49 lakhs.
