MG Nepal plans to construct Charging Stations at every 200km distance

Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG (Morris Garage), will install a 30 kW capacity fast charger every 200 km on the East-West Highway.

A Paramount Motors source will be coming to Kathmandu next week with two unit samples of the charger used by the company.

‘Initially, the two units will be connected to a Naxal showroom in Kathmandu and a highway. Then we started importing 20 units. We have made a plan to connect it to the distance from Birtamod to Nepalgunj, ”said Sachin Aryal, general manager of the company.

The charger will charge the car from 20 to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The company claims that customers traveling on MG vehicles on the highway will not face any problems.

MG is the largest seller of electric vehicles in Nepal. As the ZS is now the customer's first choice electric SUV, with the increase in the number of vehicles on the road, the company seems to be aggressively pursuing the construction of charging infrastructure.

MG is also launching a new MG5 electric crossover soon. At present, the 30 kW charger connected by Tata in different parts of the country and the charger being used by MG are the same.
