Motorola unveils the Razr phone with Flex View Foldable Screen | A Nostalgic designed phone

After long anticipation and dilemma rising around the smartphone enthusiasts’ heads, Motorola has finally cleared out all the doubts as it finally unveils its new device, the Motorola Razr. The rumors and leaks about this device launching soon were rumbling around the internet from quite a few times. Well, finally the rumor has been true.

The new Moto Razr is a classic tribute to the old foldable designed phones as the new Razr device adopts a new Flex View Foldable screen. Well, if you remember, the firm had already launched a foldable phone with this name (Razr 3) a very long time ago which had highly whirled the market with storm back then.

Furthermore, speaking of the new Razr device by Motorola, the major facet of the device is its quirky design which we hadn’t seen in any of the new-gen smartphones. The phone comes with a pOLED display composed with a “Cinemavision” aspect ratio of 21:9 supporting an amazing resolution of 2142x876 pixels. Along with that, the device also gets a second display, or say it Quick View Screen on the outside which is a 2.7-inch OLED panel supporting resolution of 600x800 pixels.

More on, highlighting on the camera, the device can somewhat desolate you as the new Motorola Razr comes with a single 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture with EIS, Dual Pixel AF, and Laser AF on the rear side.

Similarly, on the front, it houses a 5MP selfie camera (f/2.0). The outside Quick View Screen on the device also lets you act as a second screen while taking selfies. While beside the selfie job, the secondary allows you to take calls, toggle on and off some basic settings and also start up the Google Assistant. Well, for additional photographic sense, Motorola has added various creative modes on the phone such as the ‘Spot Color’ feature which lets you select one color from the shot while turning the rest of the color into monochrome. Here is a quick demonstration image of the feature.

Similarly, the other modes include ‘Night Vision’ mode used for low-light photography, ‘Cinemagraph’ mode which lets a certain portion of the shot stay in motion while freezing the rest subjects. And yes, the Portrait mode itself which you can even find in most of the mid-rangers.

And now after a little discussion on the device’s disappointing camera, let’s walk on to the device’s internal hardware. The Motorola Razr is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset which is almost a 2 years old processor. Well, it would be great if Motorola would have thought for a higher grade chipset for it. More on, the chipset is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage while you will also get an option for expandable storage via microSD.

Talking of its powerhouse of the device which is its battery, the new Motorola Razr is powered with a 2150mAh battery with 15W TurboPower charging. Well, it looks like Motorola has also compromised on its battery which might disappoint most of the Moto fans. And, yes the device works on the Android 9.0 (Pie).

Price and Availability

As the device is now not officially available for purchase. It is expected to hold a price tag of around $1500. If it’s real, then we think it is not worth the price.
