New-Generation Hyundai Tucson receives 5-star safety rating

The new generation Hyundai Tucson, which started selling in Nepal before Dashain, has got 5 star rating in the recent crash test of European NCAP. The SUV has received a 5-star rating with 86 percent marks for adult passengers, 70 percent for safety features, 66 percent for road pedestrians safety and 87 percent for child safety.

The European NCAP has stated that it is excellent in protecting the sensitive organs of the driver and passengers and also in protecting the chest of the driver. The passengers' safety is top-notch even while the front and side parts of the SUV are impacted. 

Hyundai's new generation Tucson with futuristic design is currently one of the most talked-about models in the world. The new generation Tucson’s design is also stated as the ‘Most Dynamic and Trendy’ one.

The new Hyundai Tucson is available in two different engine options: 2.0L MPi Petrol Engine and 2.0L CRDi Diesel Engine.

Petrol Engine

• Max Power: 156PS at 6200rpm
• Max Torque: 192.21Nm at 4000rpm
• Gear Options: 5-speed Manual/ 5-speed Automatic

Diesel Engine

• Max Power: 183PS at 4000rpm
• Max Torque: 417Nm at 1750-2750rpm
• Gearbox: 8-speed Automatic transmission

The new-gen Tucson SUV is available in four variants: GLS-MT, GLS-AT, GLX AT, and GLX-4WD AT.
