After an elongated wait, Pioneer Motocorp Pvt. Ltd. the sole distributor for Nissan vehicles in Nepal has finally brought the Nissan Leaf electric car to the Nepali market. The announcement was made by Pioneer MotoCorp through a virtual live program.
Nissan Leaf is the largest selling electric car in the international market to date.
Nissan has already sold more than 4 lakhs units of Nissan Leaf worldwide. Sales of Nissan cars have also increased in the Nepalese market in the last few months.
Nissan Leaf Overview
This is the second-generation Nissan Leaf that has entered the Nepali market.
The Nissan Leaf gets a 110kW electric motor and a 40kWh battery. According to the company, the Nissan Leaf provides a range of 363km on a single full charge. There are 4 different modes for battery saving available in the car- D, B, Eco, and B+ Eco Mode.

Additionally, the firm also claims that when the Leaf is driven in Eco-Mode, it provides around 10% more mileage than in the regular mode. The car uses a 40kW lithium-ion battery while it takes around 16 hours to fully charge the battery with a 3kW charger while the 6kW charger only takes around 8 hours.
