Oppo A16s brings Helio G35, 5000mAh battery, and NFC

Oppo has launched its Oppo A16s smartphone in the European market. The smartphone is supposed to be an upgraded version of the A16 but, the only upgrade here is an NFC chip onboard. Apart from this, the device is completely identical to the vanilla Oppo A16 in every aspect. Here, we will go through the specifications, features, availability, and the expected price of the Oppo A16s in Nepal.

Oppo A16s is priced at EUR 149 for the 4/64GB variant in the Netherlands.

Oppo A16s Overview

Oppo A16s features a 6.42-inch IPS display that supports a 60Hz fast refresh rate. With HD+ resolutions of 720 x 1600 pixels, the brightness of the display peaks at 480 nits. It measures 8.4mm thick and weighs 190 grams.

The device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G35 processor. It comes with a higher 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage compared to 3/32GB on the vanilla A16. The A16 runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

Moving on the camera, Oppo A16s has a triple camera setup at the back and a waterdrop notch upfront. It features a 13MP main camera followed by two 2MP macro and mono sensors. Upfront is an 8MP selfie camera with a 79-degree FOV. both the front and back camera setup can take up to 1080p videos at 30fps.

Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery. Oppo claims that the device can provide up to 21.02 hours of YouTube entertainment and the Super NightTime Standby Mode on the A16 can reduce power consumption at night by 1.21%. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button of the smartphone. Furthermore, it uses WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.
