The government has issued a prohibition order recently in 14 districts of Nepal including the Kathmandu valley, where the infection cases are touching the sky. During this period, no vehicles will be allowed to operate except the essential ones.

Punishment for Rule Violators (Vehicles)

Police will be able to take control of such vehicles if anyone drives recklessly. The police may release the vehicle after some time depending on the situation. However, in case of disobedience, according to the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020, one-month imprisonment or a fine of Rs 100 or both can be imposed.

More on, depending on the situation, the imprisonment period can further be extended to 6 months or a fine of Rs. 600 depending on the situation.

Therefore, when leaving with a vehicle, one should leave only with the permission of the local administration.
