Realme 8i comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display can reach a brightness of 1 nit and has a peak brightness of 600 nits. It also supports a 6-level dynamic refresh rate - 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz depending on the content.

Under the hood, Realme 8i features a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. It is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. There is support for 5GB Virtual RAM while the storage can be upgraded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device runs on Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11.
