The British Classic bikemaker is all set to launch various new models ranging from 350cc to 650cc in coming years. The firm had recently confirmed on launching a new generation Classic 350 followed by a 350cc adventure tourer.

Likewise, the best-selling bikemaker has also registered various other names in its domain- like the Flying Flea, Hunter, Sherpa, and more. And now again, Royal Enfield has patented the next 650cc model in India. The official registered name for the brand’s new motorcycle is Royal Enfield Shotgun, which by the name emits us a vibe of a powerful whizz machine.

As per reports, the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun will be a massive 650cc twin-cylinder low-slung cruiser which was also spotted in the Indian trails several times.

Royal Enfield Shotgun- Expectations?

As some spy images of the new Royal Enfield Shotgun have already made it to the Internet, we expected the Shotgun cruiser to adopt the classic round lamps up front followed by a larger visor on the top for wind protection. Comparing it to the firm’s other 650cc machines (Continental GT and Interceptor 650), the Royal Enfield Shotgun will be getting a longer wheelbase.

Other notable features of the motorcycle include a twin-pipe exhaust system, round-shaped tail lamps, wider handlebars (like most of the cruisers), and forward-set footpegs.

Suspension and Braking

For Suspension, the Royal Enfield Shotgun might probably be featured with USD forks up front accompanied by conventional twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Likewise, the cruiser is definitely dual-disc with dual-channel ABS as the standard braking feature.

Engine and Performance

The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun is expected to derive its power from a 649cc twin-cylinder engine that we have already witnessed in the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650. This engine is capable of churning out a horsepower of 47bhp alongside a peak torque of 52Nm. It’s mated with a six-speed gearbox transmission.
