With spy shots and speculations lying around the Internet, Royal Enfield has finally announced the release date of its upcoming cruiser-SuperMeteor 650.
As per the reports, the new Super Meteor 650 will be unveiled at EICMA in Milan, on November 8.
The teaser spy images of the motorcycle are already out before its official unveiling date.
As for the spy shots, we can assume at least what the motorcycle will look like.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650- Expectations?
The Super Meteor 650 adopts a Pirelli Phantom Sportscam rear tyre. However, some spy shots of the motorcycle seen running in Chennai trails are seen to receive CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres.
Therefore, it isn’t confirmed which tyre version will RE go for, in the production version.

Moreover, the teaser image of the bike also puts on an idea of how the instrument cluster of the Super Meteor will look like.
As per this, the cluster looks very much similar to that of the ongoing small Meteor 350. This instrument cluster will be an analog speedometer with digital trip-related information.
In addition, the Super Meteor 650 will rest above the ongoing Interceptor 650 and the Continental 650.
Coming on to the engine, the motorcycle will borrow its engine from its sibling- the 650 Twins. Therefore, the motorcycle will also be powered by the same 648cc fuel-injected 4-stroke, parallel-twin motor, air-oil cooled engine.
This unit churns out a power of 47bhp alongside a peak torque of 52Nm.
This engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox unit with an assist and slipper clutch features. Although its engine will be borrowed from its sibling, this unit will be more redefined and smooth to cater to the needs of the cruiser.
Furthermore, you will also receive an LED tail lamp which might be borrowed from the small Meteor 350. You will also get twin exhausts and split seats. The front headlamp of the motorcycle will also be an LED unit.

Premium Royal Enfield features such as a Tripper Navigation system will also be available in the Super Meteor 650.
The design continues to borrow the classic retro elements like the previous Meteor 350 while it might arrive with a range of accessories to choose from. The overall chassis of the Super Meteor 650 will also remain beefed up compared to the smaller one- The meteor 350.
The weight of the machine is also speculated to be more heavy compared to other Royal Enfield siblings.
