Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Nepal: Everything this is to know

Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ are the flagship phones from Samsung stable and both the phones were unveiled today at the Yak and Yeti Hotel at Durbarmarg. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9+ are the successor to the Galaxy S8 and the S8+ and they bring a host of new features to the phone. Let's check them out.

Let's talk the pricing first. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is priced at Rs. 87,900 and the Galaxy S9+ is priced at Rs.99,900. Qith this new iteration, the bumped up price of the S9+ is more justifiable. The specs of both the phones are as follows:

The Galaxy S9 siblings have to be one of the most feature-packed smartphones there is. The phone has all the feature that you will ever use and some more. Made for an age in which consumers increasingly communicate and express themselves more with images, videos and emojis, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ drives innovation with Samsung’s advanced camera. The Galaxy S9 and the S9+ are the first (practical) phone to feature dual aperture wherein the camera can take it light as per the requirement from the surroundings.

With the new cameras, not only will you be able to take good photos in low-light, you will also be able to take much sharper photos than before. And there's more. With this new phone, you can create customized emoji dubbed AR Emoji which will create emoji based on your face using the front camera.

The highlight of the Samsung S9 duo have to be the 960 frames per second slow motion that was earlier only found on Sony smartphones. Samsung has incorporated stacked sensor to make this possible. Unlike the Sony system where you have to do everything manually for the slo-mo to work as you would desire, the Samsung does it automatically. The company says that they have used AR to make this possible.Users can also easily create, edit and share GIF files with a simple tap in three playful styles of looping to watch the action over and over again.

And for the first time, Samsung has incorporated stereo speaker on the phone. There's a dedicated speaker at the bottom of the phone and the earpiece now acts as a secondary smartphone. The speakers are tuned by AKG and there's also immersive audio thanks to the inclusion of Dolby Atmos.

We cannot talk about Samsung flagship phone without talking about the display. The Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 5.8" QHD+ Super Amoled display, which is the best there is in the market right now. The S9+ incorprated a larger 6.2" Super Amoled display, which is just as good. The Infinity with curves on both the sides makes the phone look more immersive than most of its competition. The display also gets extra-bright in direct sunlight which makes viewing thd display even in harsh light a non-issue.

The smartphones will be available in Nepal starting March 23, 2018. Galaxy S9+ will be available in three distinctive colours—Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple whereas the Galaxy S9 will be available only in Midnight Black. They will be available across all Samsung Brand shops and select retail outlets.
