Our verdict

Coming at two different price points you would expect to have a different specification and further the higher-priced device to pack more power and specification. But comparing the two devices Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Samsung A72 with each other results are completely surprising.

Starting with the point that the Redmi upped its display game on this year’s Note series means Note 10 Pro Max flaunts an AMOLED display. Which by no means is as better as the Super AMOLED found on the Galaxy A72 but the 120Hz refresh rate on top of the AMOLED display of Note 10 Pro Max compared to just 90Hz of A72 is something to be considered. Going on to the Processors of the two devices, both the devices come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset. Note 10 Pro Max flaunts the Snapdragon 732g chip while Galaxy A72 flaunts the 720g chip. Comparing the two chips both are very much similar in terms of performance and we can even give a slight edge to the 732g chip found in Note 10 Pro Max.

Things get even more interesting when you realize the fact that the device which is almost Rs.18,000 cheaper than the other (in their base variant) flaunts a 108MP primary camera sensor compared to a 64MP camera. Redmi has a 108MP primary camera on the Note10 Pro Max, while Samsung Galaxy A72 only has a 64MP main camera. Both the devices are quite equal when it comes to the battery as a 5020mAh and 5000mAh can be found in Note10 Pro Max and Galaxy A72 respectively. But the part of charging is where the Pro Max takes a noticeable lead as it supports a 33watt fast charging compared to 25watt fast charging on the Samsung Galaxy A72.

Further, when you compare the Galaxy A72 and Redmi Note10 Pro Max price in Nepal it becomes a no-brainer that the Pro Max is a better option compared to Samsung A72. At the moment of writing, Redmi Note10 Pro Max is not available in the Nepali market to buy, but if you are planning on buying a new smartphone and considering the Galaxy A72 as an option you might as well wait for a few weeks for the launch of Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and save some big bucks.
