At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors showcased its concepts for electric vehicles, CNG vehicles, and two engine choices. However, according to the corporation, the Tata Harrier EV is scheduled to debut in 2024.
Tata will shortly unveil the Harrier and Safari makeover in the Indian market. The Harrier EV, which will be released across the nation with a few minor alterations, was displayed by the company at the largest car event.
Tata Motors introduced several new goods at the just-ended 2023 Auto Expo, which was the site of numerous new automotive launches. The electric version of the Tata Harrier was one of the event's significant additions. The business did not specify when the new luxury EV would be available, though.
According to several sources, Tata may be getting ready to unveil its next-generation electric vehicle by 2024. A Harrier EV derivative is getting close to production, the report continues.
The new EV's hardware was partially unveiled by Tata at the Auto Expo, but details on the motor or the battery pack used have not yet been made public. Let's now examine the Tata Harrier EV's specifications, features, and anticipated pricing.
Overview
The Harrier EV concept combines Tata's Gen 2 EV architecture Omega design that was utilized by the ICE-powered Harrier. The Harrier EV has essentially been significantly restructured for electrification even though it is still built on an ICE chassis.
The interior will be level, lighter, and more energy-efficient, and the location where the gasoline tanks are located will be renovated. Tata said that the vehicle will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive arrangement, but the company did not provide any information about the electric motor or battery characteristics.

The Harrier EV will be capable of charging from one vehicle to a cargo as well as from one vehicle to another. In contrast to V2L, which merely indicates that the car may be used to power other external equipment, V2V indicates that the car can charge other electric vehicles.
Design
The Harrier EV has undergone significant alterations in comparison to its ICE cousin, and it is built on Tata's Gen 2 EV design. It receives a new bumper, a fake skid plate, a blanked-off grille, and a cluster of headlamps in the shape of a triangle up front.
In the back profile, there are new LED taillamps, a Harrier EV logo, a new bumper with a skid plate, and an LED light bar that runs across the boot lid. Alloy wheels with two colors support the electric SUV.
The Harrier EV looks a lot like its ICE predecessor, yet it also distinguishes itself enough as an electric car. Its split headlight design is the same up front, but a new LED light bar spans the SUV's entire width.

The primary headlamp cluster is now housed in a deep-set, blackened housing, and the front bumper has been modified with new, sharp creases. There is also a new blanked-off grille. Additionally, the central air intake has been modified with an EV-specific blanked-off panel and other changes.
Aside from larger concept-like wheels, flat door handles, and new 'EV' logos on the fenders, there aren't many profile changes. The Harrier EV's taillight assembly has been reprofiled, and a new LED light bar that spans the width of the tailgate has been added.
A new set of angular indents and a smoother body cladding finish can be found on the rear bumper, which has also been updated.
Interior and Battery
The Harrier EV now includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument panel, dual-tone leather, and a revised center console inside the cockpit. Dual-tone upholstery and other improvements will also be made to the Tata Harrier EV.

The Harrier EV's battery pack and range have not been made public by Tata Motors, although the AWD design raises the idea that there may be one electric motor per axle. The Harrier EV's battery is anticipated to have a capacity of about 60 kWh and provide a real-world range of between 400 and 500 kilometers.
Performance
The Harrier EV is built on the Gen2 design, according to Tata Motors, who announced it at the Auto Expo 2023. There will be two motors in total, one on each axle, and it will also have an AWD layout. Aside from the power output, range, and charge capacity, no other technical information about the battery has been made public.
