TATA's All New Sierra EV To Offer A Range of 600 Km: Here is Everything You Need to Know

 

Tata Motors recently unveiled its all-electric concept- Tata Sierra EV Concept a few days ago. 

This concept model from Tata is a modern, optimistic, and progressive future EV from Tata in an electric avatar. And finally, it brings back the romance and spirit of an iconic nameplate in Tata Motors' history.

The concept model of the car was unveiled back at the 2020 Auto Expo in India.

Tata Sierra EV- What do we know so far?

Design and Exterior

The new Sierra EV will be built under the firm’s popular IMPACT 2.0 design language providing it with a sharp and refined Tata SUV look. This fully electric SUV from Tata Motors is a 4.1-meter SUV and is the third SUV in the Tata range that is baked on ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture.

The exterior facet of the SUV is modern, progressive, and yet captures the spirit of the original. 

Interior 

Not only has the Indian auto giant worked hard on the exterior but the interior of the SUV is also claimed to be breath-taking.

Although Tata gives a hint of minimalism in the exterior of the EV, the performance of the car is fully functional and rugged when it comes to working. 

The interior of the car is designed focusing on the space and stress-free cabin for its customers. The rear passenger seats are also designed to emphasize roominess as well as comfort and safety. 

It offers a unique and signature lounge layout for the rear passengers and the ability of the front passenger to rotate and share in this space.

A larger panoramic window in the Sierra EV also emits a premium vibe. Moreover, the wooden tech dashboard in the vehicle with a big screen and the ability for the customer to bring their own device. 

Inside the EV you experience endless visual & tactile elements, subtle Jaali textures, combinations of off-white knit and geometric embossed textile, moss, and finally yet importantly, etched graphics on recycled leather sections. 

Overall, the new Tata Sierra EV emits an elite philosophy.

Battery and Performance

Although Tata itself hasn’t clarified the other specifications and performance of the SUV, it is expected to arrive with impressive power and range. As per speculations, the new Sierra EV is expected to boast a massive range of 600 km on a single full charge. 

However, the real-world range of the electric car could drop by around 500 km considering the setup of the vehicle.

A host of other premium features could also be discerned in the new Tata Sierra EV. This includes a massive infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, off-road focused setup, connected car technology, ambient lighting, and so on.
