Tecno announces the world’s first 5X Telescopic Macro Lens for smartphones

Tecno has announced a new camera tech called the Telescopic Macro Lens. The new camera tech promises significant improvement in the quality and photography experience of macro photos in smartphones.

Features
One of the major highlights of this new macro lens tech is its ability to extend from the device. The official teaser video from Tecno shows a retractable lens that can extend from the body of the smartphone, which allows users to take macro shots without getting close to the subject.
Tecno claims that the lens offers 5x optical zoom and is the world's first 5X Telescopic Macro Lens for smartphones. There's also a bigger aperture for better low-light performance. The company further mentioned that the end result is comparable to that of the main camera.
Lastly, the design of the lens is said to be compact, although Tecno didn't provide any precise information.

Availability
Tecno didn’t mention when the company will bring the first smartphone with its new Telescopic Macro Lens. Also, the phone featured in the video is just a visual representation to demonstrate the new tech. As per several reports, we might see a device equipped with this new tech as early as this year.
