Two Cheapest Electric Cars in Nepal: Derry EV7 and Thee Go E8 | Which one is the best?

With the increasing hype of electric cars in the market, the competition of automobile brands is also at the top level. There is a high demand for electric cars in Nepal too. Among all the electric vehicles available in the country, the Derry EV7 is the cheapest one. However, after the Chinese company’s product line ‘Thee GO’ entered the Nepali market, it has been able to rest at the competitive budget EVs in Nepal.

There is a high competition between these two car models where the introductory price of Thee Go starts from Rs. 24.9 lakhs while the Derry EV7 costs 19.5 lakhs in Nepal. But while comparing and contrasting these two vehicles, the Derry EV7 stands ahead on the line with its cheaper pricing.

Derry EV7

Derry EV7 is an electric car manufactured by the Chinese EV maker, Henan Derry New Energy Automobiles Co., Ltd. In Nepal, Aut0-Host Pvt. Ltd. looks after the dealership for Derry cars. 

Previously, the EV7 used to cost Rs. 25.99 lakhs in the Nepali market. However, after the recent cut in the taxes for EVs by the Nepal government, the price of Derry EV7 has reduced to Rs. 19.5 lakhs.

The new Derry EV7 arrives with a 17kWh battery along with a 15kW electric motor. The car has a whopping range of 230km on a single charge. It also adopts other additional features such as Power Window, Hill Assist, Rear View Camera, Central Lock, Touchscreen Infotainment System, Alloy Wheels and, so on.
