Xiaomi announces Mi 11 Ultra | Has a selfie screen on the back

Xiaomi announced its Mi 11 Ultra which is a beefed-up model of the previously launched Mi 11. The device comes with a tiny selfie screen on the back along with a flagship Snapdragon 888 and is the first smartphone to come with a Samsung ISOCELL GN2 camera sensor. Mi 11 Ultra Overview

 

The Mi 11 Ultra has a “quad-curved” AMOLED screen which offers a 6.81-inches display that supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate along with a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display is a QHD+ resolution of 3200 x 1440. You can find a left side punch-hole cutout on the top of the display which holds a 20MP f/2.2 selfie camera. 

 

The Flagship Snapdragon 888 can be found in the Mi 11 Ultra which can be paired with a 12GB LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 256GB UFS 3,1 internal storage. Performance on the device should be smooth and extreme as the Snapdragon 888 is the best Qualcomm and arguably the best mobile chip in the market. Also, Mi 11 ultra gets a newer WiFi 6E implementation.

Talking about the camera is where the device gets unusual and it’s not because of the camera itself but the camera setup on the Mi 11 Ultra. The device has a rectangular camera setup which should be one of the largest camera setups in smartphones. The rectangular setup holds a small 1.1” diagonal OLED secondary screen which can be used as a viewfinder for taking selfies from the main camera, also the OLED Screen is a highly customizable notification screen.

 

 

The actual camera setup on the Mi 11 Ultra is a triple camera setup which is right beside the small secondary screen. You can find a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor as the primary camera on the Mi 11 ultra and both Ultra wide and the telephoto camera uses the Sony IMX586 1/2.0-inch sensor. You can shoot videos up to 8K on all three cameras. Also, you can preview all three cameras at the same time to choose which camera option suits you the better.

 

 

The whole device is powered by a 5000mAh battery which is the first silicon-oxygen anode Lithium battery according to Xiaomi. The device supports a 67W fast wired and also 67W wireless fast charging. On top of that Mi 11 ultra is also capable of 10W reverse charging. 

You also get Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers, NFC, dual-sim, infrared port, an X-axis linear vibration motor, and more on the new Mi 11 Ultra.

Mi 11 Ultra price in Nepal

The availability and price for the Mi 11 Ultra for the Nepali market are not announced yet. The device was recently announced in India at the price of INR. 69,990 for the sole 12/256GB variant through Xiaomi's online event dubbed "Into The Future". When the device arrives in the Nepali market we expect the device to start at the price of around Rs. 1,20,000. it will be interesting to see at what price the Mi 11 Ultra actually arrives in the Nepali market.
