Xiaomi Mix 4 brings Snapdragon 888+ and Xiaomi’s first under-display camera

Xiaomi has launched its first smartphone with an under-display camera called the Xiaomi Mix 4. Along with an under-display camera, the device also features Snapdragon 888+ chipset, 120-watt fast charging, and much more. Here, we will go through the specifications, features, and the expected price of the Xiaomi Mix 4 in Nepal.
Xiaomi Mix 4 starts at the price of CNY 4,999 for the base variant of 8/128GB and goes up to CNY 6,299 for the higher 12/512GB variant in China.
Xiaomi Mix 4 Overview
Xiaomi Mix 4 features a 20MP under-display camera, which the company calls a camera under panel (CUP). The camera has 1.6 µm sized pixels thanks to 4-in-1-pixel binning. Xiaomi has used a new micro-diamond pixel pattern paired with algorithms that allow minimum light refraction. The area above the camera packs 400ppi density. Xiaomi claims that it matches the pixel density, brightness, and color detail of the surrounding screen to completely hide the camera zone.
Moving on to the rest of the specifications, the Mix 4 comes with a 6.67 inches 32D curved AMOLED display. This FHD+ display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The device weighs 225 grams, measures 8mm thick, and is IP53 rated dust and splash resistant.
Xiaomi has gone with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor under the hood. It is paired with 8GB or 128GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Xiaomi Mix 4 is the first smartphone to be powered with Qualcomm’s new 888+ flagship processor. For the OS, it runs on Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5.

Xiaomi Mix 4 features a triple camera setup at the back. It consists of a 108MP ISOCELL HMX main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). it is then followed by a 13MP ultrawide and an 8MP periscope lens that has 5x optical zoom, and OIS. the camera setup can take up to 8K videos at 24fps.
Powering the device is a 4500 mAh battery. It is capable of 120-watt wired and 50-watt wireless fast charging. Xiaomi claims that the 120-watt fast charge can take the device from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes. Furthermore, the device uses dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity.
