Yamaha to stop the production of its 110cc scooters

Yamaha Motors has recently announced the closure for the production of its 110cc scooters being manufactured in the Indian market. As the firm will further be only manufacturing its new 125cc scooters in-line with the BS6 compliant engine as per norms of the Indian Pollution standards, it is planning on the closure for the 110c segment.

Currently, Yamaha has been selling its three scooter models under the 110cc segment which is the Yamaha Fascino, Ray-Z, Ray-ZR Street. Well, the firm has been planning on upgrading the engine of these three models to 125cc on future production. All of these three models will now only be sold until the first half of 2020 while in the further run, these scooters will only be available with 125cc engine.

According to Yamaha, it claims that the upcoming upgraded engine version of these three models will be providing 16% of more mileage than the previous one. It has been certified by ARAI that these models provide an average mileage of 58kmpl. Also, all of these three models will feature the same engine. Also, all these models come with digital instrument clusters and features.
