Apple announced that their Independent Repair Provider Program is expanding globally and any interested repair provider from Nepal can apply to be an Independent Repair Provider at support.apple.com/irp-program

Basically, Apple’s independent repair provider program is a third-party repair but the company verifies the third-party repair store and provides them with genuine parts, tools, training, and repair manuals. So, if you are interested and capable of repairing Apple products then you can apply to become an Independent Repair Provider.

Apple’s Independent Repair Program is not a new thing as it was launched previously in the US back in 2019 and was expanded to Canada and Europe. Currently, there are more than 1,500 Independent Repair Providers across the US, Canada, and Europe. Now Apple is adding more than 200 countries to the program which might cover all the countries where Apple sells its products.

You can join the program for free but to qualify you need to have an Apple-certified technician to perform the repairs. Also, the certification for the technician is simple and free of cost.

As we have seen Apple on regular basis has eliminated third-party repair it seems the only time the company supports third-party repair is if the company finds some profit out of it. Joining the program comes with a contract which different reports suggest gives Apple the right to inspect and fine the repair shops if found using any unauthorized parts.
