Bajaj Dominar 400, assembled in Nepal now available for sale | Comes with upgraded features

Bajaj Nepal has just started the sales of its new Nepal assembled Bajaj Dominar 400. HH Bajaj, the official distributor for Bajaj bikes in Nepal has begun the distribution of this bike. The firm has been assembling Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal since last year.

Bajaj Dominar, which was built at the company’s plant in Nawalparasi, will now be available at a cheaper price than when imported from India. Currently, the bike is being sold through the company’s Teku Showroom. However, the company says that the bike will be available around all the Bajaj Showrooms shortly.

The import of Bajaj Dominar in Nepal from the Indian market had been closed lately. According to the company, as the bike is now again re-launched in India with the upgraded features, Bajaj Nepal had also been planning to assemble the bike accordingly.

According to the latest price list made by the company, the new Bajaj Dominar now comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,29,900/- Well, that’s Rs. 60,000/- cheaper than the previous rate.

The newly assembled Bajaj Dominar adopts some modifications on the external features, however, the engine specifications of the motorcycle remains unchanged. The bike is powered by a 374.3cc triple-spark, 4-valve DTS-I liquid-cooled fi engine which delivers a power of 36bhp at 8000rpm along with a peak torque of 35Nm at 6500rpm.

The Dominar 400 has a top speed of 148km. Coming onto the upgrades on the external features of the bike, it now gets USD forks instead of the previous telescopic forks while it now also gets a new dual-muffler silencer and a gear indicator behind the fuel-tank. Mated with a 6-speed gearbox transmission, the Bajaj Dominar 400 holds a ground clearance of 147mm.

Regarding the safety, the bike is provided with dual-channel ABS along with a 320mm disc brakes on the front and a 230mm disc brake on the rear.

 

Well, it’s great to hear that Bajaj Nepal is working on assembling all the Bajaj bikes in Nepal which in turn not only saves the import cost but will also motivate the Bajaj lovers to purchase one.
