Google has unveiled its Android 12 (Go Edition). This new OS version will power the upcoming entry-level smartphones, offering a smoother Android experience. As per Google, over 200 million people actively use an Android (Go edition) phone. With the recent release of Android 12 (Go edition), the company promises a faster, smarter, and more privacy-friendly experience than ever before.

The smartphones running on the latest Android 12 (Go Edition) are expected to arrive sometime in 2022. Here are all the new features that will come with Android 12 (Go Edition) powered smartphones;

Faster App Launch

As per Google, smartphones running Android 12 (Go Edition) will have a 30% faster app launch time and smoother animation. On top of that, Google has also added the SplashScreen API, which will allow developers to provide a consistently smooth experience when users launch their apps.

 

Long Battery Life

 

 

Google claims that the new OS will automatically save battery life and storage by hibernating apps that haven’t been used for a long time. This feature is helpful for smartphones with limited storage capacity. It brings efficient storage management and extended battery life to smartphones. Users will also be able to recover deleted files within 30 days using the new updated Files Go app.

On-Screen Translation 

 

 

Android 12 (Go edition) also brings intelligent features like on-screen translation. Users will get the option to translate any on-screen content into their preferred language for a better understanding of the content.

The Go Edition of Android 12 brings Nearby Share, which will let users share apps directly with nearby devices, avoiding extra charges.
