As we all know that battery is one of the most crucial facets in a piece of machinery. Most of us have the habit of testing the battery and electrical system only when it shows the sign of weakness and failure which is, in fact, a wrong decision.

Proactively testing your car’s battery health can effectively reduce the chances of battery’s failure. So if you own a car, make sure that your car’s battery health is at its optimum stage. You can visit the nearby workshop or retailers to have a battery test and check if it’s okay.

When fully charged, what voltage should the car’s battery have?

Always remember that when a fully charged automobile’s battery volt should measure 12.6 volts or above and at the time when the engine is running the measurement should be around 13.7 to 14.7 volts. If you personally don’t own a multimeter, then you can test the battery health by starting the car and turning on the headlights. If the lights are quite lower than the usual lighting, this is an indication that the battery is running off and there is a low charge in the alternator.
