Infinix has launched the first phone of its 12-series in Nepal, named the Infinix Hot 12i. The smartphone is an entry-level offering for the company and brings specs like Helio A22 SoC, a triple AI camera setup, and a large 5000mAh battery.

Design and Display

 

Infinix Hot 12i features a 6.6-inch IPS panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. The display has a water-drop style notch and a peak brightness of 480 nits. 

The smartphone measures 8.75mm thick and weighs 190 grams. It is offered in four color options - Racing Black, Horizon Blue, Haze Green, and Champagne Gold.

Performance

 

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor. It comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Infinix has added the Extended RAM feature to the smartphone, which provides 3GB of virtual RAM. users can also expand the storage up to 512GB using a microSD card. 

On the software side, the device boots on the Android 11 based XOS 7.6 UI. It is fueled by a large 5000mAh battery, claimed to offer up to up to 34 hours of talk time.

For optics, the Infinix Hot 12i features a 13MP AI camera with AF (autofocus) and two unspecified camera sensors, which we believe are two 2MP macro and depth sensors. Upfront is an 8MP Fixed Focus camera for selfies and video calls. 

connectivity options on the device include WiFi 5, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The audio section is covered by Cinematic DTS audio processing.
