Vivo's sub-brand iQOO has launched a new smartphone called the Neo 5S. The device brings a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and a 66-watt flash charge support. In this post, we will be looking at the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the iQOO Neo 5S in Nepal.

Design and Display

iQOO Neo 5S features a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. The display here supports a 120Hz fast refresh rate, HDR10+, 16,000-level brightness adjustment, and 100% coverage of P3 color gamut.

In terms of design, there is a rectangular camera island on the back panel. The device weighs 197 grams and has 8.39mm thickness. iQOO has offered three color options of Orange Light, Night Space, and Sunset Canyon on the smartphone.

Performance

iQOO Neo 5S is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor. You get up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage options to choose from. The device runs iQOO's custom OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12.

The smartphone also brings an independent display chip Pro, which can share half of the rendering work for the GPU during gaming sessions. iQOO has also added a heat dissipation system with rare earth materials, which covers up to 89.4% of the mobile phone space.

Camera

For optics, the Neo 5S features a triple rear camera setup starred by a 64-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is then followed by a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP telephoto lens. Upfront is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Camera features like super night scenes, starry sky mode, slow-motion capture, dual-view video, big movie mode, and more are also available in the smartphone.

iQOO Neo 5S packs a 4500mAh battery with support for a 66-watt fast charging. The device is claimed to go up to 70% in just 18 minutes of charge. You get both facial recognition and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port.

iQOO Neo 5S price in China starts at CNY 2,699 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The device is already up for pre-order in China, and shipment starts on December 24. If the device launches in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.55,000. For now, there’s no information regarding the availability of iQOO Neo5S in the global market.
