The long-awaited Citroen C3 from the French automaker has finally entered the Indian market at a starting price tag of INR 5.70 lakhs.
This is the second car coming from the brand in India while it positions itself as the SUV-inspired B-segment hatchback.
The carmaker already started the booking of the hatchback back on July 1 and it finally made its official debut now.

Citroen C3 Overview
Design
The Citroen C3 is based on the company’s C-Cubed platform which is new for Indian trails.
Looks-wise, it houses sleek chrome elements with heavy cladding. The SUV-inspired hatchback does look like a mini version of the popular sibling-C5.
However, as the firm offers the vehicle in different color combinations and tons, buyers can look for their preferences.
Interior
As for the interior, there are two options offered in the layout or cabin- Anodized Grey and Zesty Orange. Upfront, you will find a vibrant panel in the car that matches the machine’s exterior shades. It is very similar to that of the C5 Aircross.
The car features a wheelbase of 2540mm and a larger boot space of 315 liters.
For entertainment, the car is Citroen C3 is equipped with a 10-inch capacitive touch infotainment unit that excitingly supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other key features in the cabin include a multi-functional steering wheel, a USB charger, and a 12V socket for charging.
Customers get an option for choosing up to eight-seat cover options.
Engine and Performance
In terms of power performance, the vehicle is offered with two engine options- a 1.2L Puretech naturally aspirated Petrol engine and a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbocharged unit.
Coming on to the power performance, the former offers a peak power output of 81bhp while the latter churns out a peak power of 108bhp and 190Nm of peak torque.
Speaking of the gearbox, there are 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual options in the former and latter engines respectively. Unfortunately, you are not getting an automatic transmission option in the vehicle, which happens to be a primary setback.
In the same way, if we are to glance at the fuel efficiency, the 1.2L NA unit offers an efficiency of 19.8 km/l while the turbo petrol unit offers 19.4 km/l fuel efficiency.
