New generation Hyundai Kona EV arrives in Nepal with additional safety features

Hyundai's popular electric car Kona EV’s Facelift model has been launched in Nepal. Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd. the sole distributor for Hyundai cars in Nepal has brought this EV in Nepal.

Hyundai Kona Electric is a successful crossover car that has been selling in the Nepali market for the past two years. Many modifications can be found in the new Kona electric facelift. 

New Hyundai Kona EV in Nepal

Customers will be able to get many upgrades in the Kona interior and exterior. The driving range of the new Kona EV has also increased. New security features and advanced connectivity are the main modifications. The new Kona EV features advanced safety features such as Smart Sense Safety Suite, regenerative braking system, pedal shifter, drive Wi-Fi system, and climate pre-setting.

Looking at the exterior, the Hyundai Kona features a newly designed grille, new daytime running lights, and larger tail lights. Now Kona Electric can run up to 305 kilometers on a single charge.

The new Kona has a 39.2 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery with a multi-stage high voltage safety system, which further increases the energy density and range of EV. 

The battery's layout and packaging system have made the handling of Kona EV excellent by reducing the center of gravity. This has made the electric crossover more comfortable for drivers and passengers as well. 

The 8-inch touchscreen visual navigation system in the new Kona enhances the driving experience. In the Nepali market, Kona Electric will be available in excellent color options like Atlas White, Cyber ​​Gray, Galactic Gray, Pulse Red, Surfy Blue, and Dark Knight.

Like the previous Kona, the company believes that this facelift model will also win the hearts of many Nepali EV fans. Laxmi Intercontinental has been expanding the mandatory charging station for EVs across the country.

Currently, charging stations have been set up at 36 different places in Nepal. The company aims to set up 50 charging stations within this year to not only sell EVs in Nepal but also to develop EV culture.
